THIS IS A FREE EVENT!
We are so happy to be getting a sign on the Lake City Area Arts building! The Board of Directors has commissioned Jacqui Rosenbush to design, paint, finish a 24 foot by 4 foot sign. WE NEED YOUR HELP! Please come Saturday, November 5th 1-3 PM and have fun painting our sign by numbers. Jacqui will guide us on painting the sign. We will have fun music and snacks available. This is a great family event! If you enjoyed the big banner experience, this activity is very similar. Jacqui will then touch up our art and add finishing touches. Lacquer will be applied. Our goal is to have it on the building by 2023!
Jacqui Rosenbush is a Minnesota-based muralist with over ten years of design experience and community engagement in public art. She holds a BA in Studio Art from the University of MN, has worked with GoodSpace Murals in Minneapolis as Lead Artist and Studio Manager and serves as the Chair on the Creative Placemaking Commission with the City of Bloomington. She has recently joined the circus in St Paul as Lead Set Designer and Painter and is committed to transforming spaces and culture through creativity and kindness.
